Breaking barriers to better health

We handled full animation production for this piece for Economist Impact and EMD Serono, supporting the I’M IN programme. The goal was to visualise complex healthcare systems and interventions with clarity and warmth, without leaning on heavy exposition or literal imagery.

We developed a minimal line based style with soft shapes and a muted palette, designed to keep the tone calm and grounded. Transitions were treated as narrative bridges, using subtle movement and layering to guide the viewer through the piece without drawing attention to the technique.

To support a voiceover led script, pacing was carefully timed in animatic stage, allowing room for key ideas to land. Visual hierarchy was key, shifting focus gently between abstract systems and human figures without overcrowding the frame.

Every part of the pipeline was handled in house, from storyboards to styleframes to animatics, animation and final mix, with close input from the client at each stage. The final result is a restrained and deliberate animation that lets the message breathe.
